The Huntington Beach K9 Fund is a part of the Foundation that supports the K9 working dogs and handlers of the Huntington Beach Police Department. HBPD's K9 Unit is Orange County, California's oldest K9 Unit since its inception in 1997. The Unit currently has three (3) pairs of handler and dog partners. The dog breeds currently in service are Belgian Malinois and a Dutch Shepherd. All donated funds dedicated to the K9's go towards the dogs' working equipment, such as protective vests; training; medical care; and other needs that benefit them as law enforcement canines that are not covered by the Department. These K9's are bred and trained to work. They love their jobs as police officers and appreciate all your help in supporting their roles.
The Huntington Beach Police & Community Foundation is an independent, community based non-profit organization dedicated to supporting safety and enhancing our community.
